This letter confirms the discussion between members of our staffs for your management to make a presentation to the NRC concerning the Byron Station Unit 1 thermal power issue discussed in the 10 CFR 50.72 call on August 29, 2003 (event notification 40117). The meeting will be held September 18, 2003, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (CDT) at the Region III Office.

This meeting is open to the public.

We will gladly discuss any questions you may have concerning this matter.

In accordance with 10 CFR Part 2.790 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
