SUMMARY

REPORT Original Document and Commitment:

NRC Bulletin 2003-01, Potential Impact of Debris Blockage on Emergency Sump Recirculation at Pressurized-Water Reactors RS-04-100, Braidwood Station, and Byron Station response to request for additional information regarding NRC Bulletin 2003-01, dated July 15, 2004.

Subject of Change:

NRC Bulletin 2003-01 Commitment RAI Response of July 15, 2004. Perform formal evaluation to determine if sump water level indication (1/2LS-0940A and 1/2LS-941A) can be expected to be accurate and reliable in post-accident conditions.

Justification for Change:

EC 355002 performed an evaluation and determine sump water indication (1/2LS-0940A and 1/2LS-941A) cannot provide reliable level indication during post-accident conditions. The Commitment was deleted under Commitment Change Number 21-002.
