Licensee Action on 10 CFR 2_1_ Reports-(Closed) 10 CFR 21 (483/85-02-PP): ' Defective conical baffle section welds
.of the diesel generator coil guards. The conical baffle section is joined to the coil guard with approximately 60, 3/16" fillet welds, 1" long and on 4" centers. Visual inspection revealed 2 cracked welds and excessive porosity in 5 welds on the bearing end of A-Generator (NE 01). A noncon-forming material report (NMR-86-I00168) was generated and the welds were removed and replaced in accordance with Weld Procedure PS-1-1-S-6A (E7018)
and a final visual inspection was performed.
