Licensee Action on Previously Identified Items (0 pen) Infractions (483/77-05-02, 03, and 04) Questionable inspection of embed plates w/ studs. The licensee agreed to tension test and bend test manually welded embed plate studs. Also, load test selected embed plates already installed. These items remain open pending the results of the tests and evaluation of licensee reports. This evalu-ation will be documented in Report No. 50483/83/80-14.

Honey-combing in tendon access gallery. The inspector reviewed the licen-see's interim report to RIII dated July 15, 1977 and final report dated September 29, 1977. The inspector reviewed correspondence from SNUPPS to Bechtel (SLBE 7-840) dated September 26, 1979 referencing NCR No. 2-0856-C-A and Wiss, Janney, Elstner and Associates, Inc., re-port: " Investigation of Concrete Base Slab at Union Electric Company WJE No. 77401," a sonic examination of the base slab which did not re-veal any voids and review of Bechtel's letter (BLSE-4972) dated Sep-
tember 28, 1977 which states that after suitable repairs of the void areas, the condition of the base slab concrete will have no safety implications. Discussion with QC personnel established that training

(Withdrawn) 10 CFR 50.55(e) report dated October 3,1977, subject:
Potential Reactivity of Sand. The inspector reviewed the licensee's memo to file discussing the withdrawal of the 50.55(e) report and a report by a geologist and petrographer consultant, dated January 15, 1978.
It was noted that ASTM C33, paragraph 5.3 allows use of fine aggregate which is potentially deleteriously reactive if cement containing less than 0.6% alkali is used.

Missing Support Welds on Boric A:id Transfer Pumps. The inspector reviewed correspondence, Westinghouse to SNUPPS, SNP (UE-253) dated January 31, 1978 and SNP (UE-249', dated January 5, 1979, addressing the missing welds for the boric acid transfer pumps. The inspector visually examined the welds located on the base plate and front mount-ing foot on the pump and found them acceptable.
