Dear Mr. Maynard:

This refers to the meeting conducted at the Wolf Creek Generating Station on June 17,1998.

This meeting related to discusssion of Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP)

Report 50-482/98-99.

During this meeting, the SALP Board Chairman presented a summary of the Wolf Creek performance assessment for the period April 6,1997, through April 18,1998. Various Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation personnel discussed improvement initiatives in the functional areas of Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Plant Support. The meeting attendance list and briefing slides are enclosed.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
