Box 220 St. Francisville, Louisiana 70775 SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. '.-458/93-26 (NOTICE OF VIOLATION) , This letter transmits errata sheets for the subject Notice of Violation.
In Violation A we indicated that Liquid Radiation Monitor RMS-RE108 was a , safety-related component, based on information in Condition Report 93-0537 which erroneously identified the radiation monitor as "RMS*RE108." The asterisk in the component identification number typically identifies equipment as safety related at River Bend Station.
The violation was reworded to l reflect' the same issue, referencing the appropriate part of Regulatory Guide 1.33.
It is our understanding that your staff's approach to the corrective actions will not change, as discussed in the exit meeting of September 30,
1993.
We saw no useful purpose in revising the details in the inspection report to reflect the fact that Monitor RMS-RE108 was not safety related.
+ Violation B was revised to include the severity level, supplement, and tracking number. Minor editorial changes were made to the wording of the violation.
