o Inspection Summary Inspection on March 2-10,1987 (Reports No. 50-373/87009(DRSS);
No. 50-374/87009(DRSS))
Areas Inspected:
Included a review of the licensee's actions on previous inspection findings; Management Effectiveness - Security Program; Security Organization; Security Program Audit; Records and Reports; Testing and Maintenance; Locks, Keys and Combinations; Physical Barriers - Vital and Protected Area; Lighting; Assessment Aids; Access Control - Personnel and Vehicles; Detection Aids - Vital and Protected Areas; Alarm Stations; Communications; Security Force Training and Qualification Plan; Protection of Safeguards Information; and Licensee's Actions in response to IE Information Notice No. 86-91, " Limiting Access Authorizations." The inspection was conducted by three NRC inspectors and the inspection was initiated during the day shift.
Results: The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements within the areas examined, except as noted below:

Physical Barriers - Vital Areas:
Some HVAC duct entry ports were not secured in the manner required by the security plan (refer to Section 8 of the Report Details),

b.
Lighting:
Some areas of the Protected Area did not have sufficient illumination for adequate assessment purposes (refer to Section 9 of the Report Details),
c.
Protection of Safeguards Information:
Some aperture cards were not marked as Safeguards Information (refer to Section 10 of the Report Details).

Additionally, four previously identified inspection findings were closed.
An open item was noted pertaining to the availability of vital area keys.
The appearance of some security force facilities and security force equipment was noted as requiring improvements.
