Areas Inspected: Routine unannounced inspection by a regional based inspector of the licensee activity in the area of structural steel erection, in major component support for proper handling, installation, adherence to proper procedures, and documentation.

Plant Tour Units 1 and 2 The inspector conducted a walked through plant tour of Units 1 and 2 primary containments and reactor buildings to assess the work procedure and general conformance to good practice in the areas of erection and installation of structured steel.
A licensee QA engineer accompanied the inspector on this tour.
No items of noncompliance were identified.
3.
Observation of Work for Safety-related Structural Steel and Major Equipment Supports The inspector observed and inspected some completed and partially completed structural steel itens to determine that the supports are of the type spe-cified, a.e properly fabricated, are properly handled during installation, and specified clearances and critical dimensions are maintained.
The inspector inspected the,following supports:

Based on the above inspection and discussion with licensee personnel, the inspector determined that the above structural supports conform to the pro-ject requirements, and are properly handled and installed.
No items of noncompliance were observed.

Review of Documentation Associated With Above Equipment Supports The inspector reviewed the documentation and held discussions with licens-ee personnel to verify that quality control operations are adequate, pro-ject procedures are implemented and proper records are maintained.
