(Closed) IE Bulletin (346/83-03-BB):
IE Bulletin 83-03, " Check Valves in
Raw Water Cooling Systems of Diesel Generators".
Followup on this item is documented in NRC Inspection Report No. 50-346/85008);
however, additional followup inspection was required to verify completion of actions required by the IE Bulletin. The inspector reviewed the licensee's final response dated November 26, 1983.
The licensee identified three check valves in the piping loop to the emergency diesel generators. These valves are included in the Inservice Pump and Valve Testing program.
Test procedures were modified to include reverse flow testing in conjunction
- 3 with forward flow testing.
