MAINTENANCE Increased inspection frequency is warranted in this ares due to the high

'

number of LERS associated with maintenance and the high rate of seal failures (5 on the recirculation pumps alone). Additionally, NRC observations on site which f:Hicated that improved first level superv/sor observation

would improve maintenance activities.

'

SECURITY AND SAFEGUARDS i

Increased inspection frequency is warranted in this area because of the attitude of Philadelphia Electric Company management toward security as shown.in the structure of the security plan. The board.also concluded that improved general employee training would improve the area.

QA/QC

.

,

. Increased inspection frequency is warranted in this area due to the large

'

number of outstanding inspection items in this area.
