Dear Mr. Rueger:
e An NRC inspection was conducted October 6-10, 1997, at your Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2 reactor facilities. The enclosed report presents the scope and results of that inspection.,

Our inspection verified that your liquid and gaseous radioactive waste effluent management program was properly implemented.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's",Rules of Practice," a copy of this inspection report will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
