Final Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) Report and Hanagement Heeting Report This refers to the NRC's Initial SALP Board Report Nos. 50-275/92-34 and 50-323/92-34, which was transmitted to you by our letter dated February 12, 1993.
During the management meeting held with you, Hr. J. Shiffer, and other members of the PGSE staff at the PGEE Community Center on February 25, 1993, we discussed the results of that assessment.
The subjects discussed during that meeting are summarized in the enclosed meeting report.
As discussed in our February 12, 1993 letter, in the Initial SALP Report transmitted by that letter, and during our February 25, 1993 meeting, the SALP Board found your overall performance to be superior, and clearly directed toward safe facility operation.
We recognize your staff's performance during this period, and support the continuing improvement initiatives you identified during our meeting.
No response to this letter is required.
Further, you stated during the February 25, 1993 'meeting that you do not plan a written response to the Initial SALP Report.
You also made no comments during our meeting which indicated a need for revision of the SALP report.
Therefore, the Initial SALP Report transmitted by our February 12, 1993 letter is considered to be the Final SALP Report for the Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Units
and 2.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
Should you have any questions concerning this letter, the SALP Board's report, or the enclosed meeting report, we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
