~Aenda The NRC representatives stated that the Region I management review of the findings of recent inspections indicate recurrent and significant items of noncompliance in the areas of exposure control and adherence to radiation protection procedures.

A three year review of enforcement history appears to indicate the need for NMPC management attention to that section of the licensee organization responsible for radiation protection, environmental monitoring and emergency planning, The enforcement options available to the Commission were also reviewed.

NMPC management responded by emphasizing their ongoing efforts to review and improve the radiation protection program.

Specific actions related to these improvements will be addressed in their reply to Inspection Report 79-20.
