This letter refers to a routine safeguards inspection of your activities at San Onofre fluclear Generating Station, Unit 1, authorized under flRC License fio. DPR-13 conducted by Mr. W. P. fiortensen of this office on June 21, 1982 through June 25, 1932.
It also refers to the discussion of the inspection findinas held by the insnector with Mr. H. B. Ray, Station Manager and Mr. U. C. Moody, Deputy Station fianacer, nonbers of their staffs, and other SCE representatives on June 25, 1932.
The inspection included exanination of activities related to your program for protection acainst radiological sabotace and against theft of special nuclear material in accordance with applicable requirenents of Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 73, " Physical Protection of Plants and flaterials," your Security Plan, and license conditions pertaining to physical protection as described in the enclosed inspection report.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and records, interviews with facility and contract personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no items of nonconpliance were observed.
In accordance with Section P. 790(d) of the fiRC's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, docurentation of the findings of your safeguards and securitv neasures are exennt from public disclosure; therefore, the enclosed inspection report will not be placed in the Public Docurent Roon.

It also refers to the discussion of the inspection findings held by the inspector with Mr. H. B. Ray, Station Manager and Mr. W. C. Moody, Deputy Station Manager, members of their staffs, and other SCE representatives on June 25, 1982.
