This letter is being submitted in response to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) request for comments concerning the Proposed Rule 10 CFR 50 and 54, "FSAR Update Submittals," published in the Federal Register (58 FR 28523, dated May 14,1993).

Philadelphia Electric Company (PECo) appreciates the opportunity to comment on this proposed rule. PEco fully supports the NRC's efforts to amend its regulations to eliminate the conflicting reporting requirements associated with the annual submittal of revisions to the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR).
