The consolidated application does not include Drawing No. C42400, Sheet 2, Rev. F, which is referenced in Conditicn No. 6 of the Certificate of Compliance or Drawing No. 66025, Sheet 4. Rev.

Drawing No. 66025 should be revised to include following:

a) Drawing notes which specify the standards, codes and procedures that will be used for fabricating, welding and inspecting the package, b) The size and location of the welds.

c) The density cf the polyurethane foam, d) Notes or details which show the markings required by 10 CFR 71.85(c).

ACCEPTANCE TEST 1.

The acceptance test program should be revised to iaclude verification that the package has been fabricated according to Drawing No. 66025.

STRUCTURAL 1.

The application should describe all of the proposed changes to the package design and assess the safety performance of the package with these changes.

Drawing No. 66025 indicated that the gross weight of the package is 48 pounds.

However, the application indicates that it weighs 53 pounds.

The application also indicates that the weight of the uranium shield is 37 pounds on page 1, while Page 4 indicates the weight to be 34 pounds. Please clarify these discrepancies.

3.

It is not clear that the orientation for the single 30-foot drop test and the single puncture test represent the most damaging orientation. The application should consider the cumulative effects of a 30-foot drop test with the center of gravity of the container over the modified locking assembly followed in sequence by a 45 degree puncture test onto the bottom of locking assembly. Close-up photographs of the damaged locking assembly should be provided.
