The testing schedule for the Amersham Type B packages is attached. He model 660 (Certificate number 9033) is currently being tested and does not appear on the table. The remaining packages that are not listed in the retesting schedule will be terminated and this list is also attached. The termination requests will be sent in to the Transport Branch by 30 Jun 98. His time is neejed in order to notify users of these packages and provide for alternative transport options.
The testing schedule has been determined based on the following factors:
1 Information learned from our retesting of the model 660 package.
The limited availability of units that can be manufactured or used for testing, taking into account the level of detail of earlier fabrication and quality assursnce records.
The use of an outside resource to help in certain steps of the testing process.
' Please note that this schedule revises the dates Amersham committed to in response to cal 97-7-005. The amount of time and resources to conduct the retesting is much greater than originally anticipated, as we have learned during the 660 retesting.
