Please note that the issues discussed in the bulletin are being addressed through the CAL (number 97-7-005) issued 10 Jun 97 and through all the followup documentation on file at the NRC. In specific response to the bulletin, Amersham will be implementing the bulletin actions within the required time frames as follows, items 1) and 2) have already been addressed for the Amersham Type B packages as described in correspondence dated 16 Jun 97, item 3) has also been addressed in correpondence to the NRC dated 18 July 97 and 4 Aug 97.
This plan is in the process of revision and a revised test schedule will be sent in by the due date specified of 5 Jan 1998.
