Dear Ms. Lav:

As we discussed last Friday (Reference 5), the Global Nuclear Fuel-Americas, L.L.C. (GNF-A) facility in Wilmington, North Carolina hereby provides a schedule update for the Natrium Fuel Fabrication Facility (NFFF) license amendment request and facility construction.

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas LLC (GEH), TerraPower, LLC and GNF-A have partnered on a project to produce advanced nuclear reactor fuel technologies with enrichment limits up to 20 wt.% U235 supporting TerraPower's award under the Department of Energy's Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program (Cooperative Agreement No. DE-NE0009054).

Due to delays in high-assay, low enriched uranium fuel supply, GNF-A and TerraPower are working on schedule adjustments to allow optimizations of the NFFF desi'gn. As such, the schedule to design, license and construct a standalone Category II NFFF is being adjusted.

GNF-A is currently in the process of developing a more detailed licensing schedule; however, for planning purposes, it is reasonable to consider an approximate 24-month delay. The GNF-A NFFF license amendment request is now anticipated to be submitted in the third quarter of 2025 for NRG review. NRC's review of the supplemental environmental report information (Reference

4) should be delayed until early 2025. GNF-A will inform NRG of schedule changes, as necessary.

If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact me at (910) 819-5950.
