SUBJECT:
PUBLIC MEETING
SUMMARY
- LICENSEE PERFORMANCE REVIEW OF GLOBAL NUCLEAR FUEL - AMERICAS, LLC., DOCKET NUMBER 07001113
Dear Ryan Huth:
This letter refers to our meeting via teleconference and Microsoft Teams held on April 25, 2023, during which the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) discussed its review of Global Nuclear Fuel -Americas (GNF-As) performance in the areas of safety operations, radiological controls, facility support, and safeguards. The meeting afforded you the opportunity to respond to NRCs conclusions about GNF-As performance over the period from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022. As documented in our letter to you dated March 3, 2023 (ADAMS Accession Number ML23060A086), the NRC staff determined that GNF-A conducted activities safely, securely, and in a manner that protects public health and the environment. Based on our review of activities, no areas needing improvement were identified within the four major performance areas.
In addition, the meeting also afforded the members of the public the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the NRC regarding our inspection program and the performance of GNF-A. The list of meeting attendees and a copy of the presentation slides are enclosed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice and Procedure," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
