DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT 1 UNION ELECTRIC CO.

RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 APPLICATION TO REVISE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TO ADOPT TSTF 577, REVISED FREQUENCIES FOR STEAM GENERATOR TUBE INSPECTIONS (LDCN 21-0013)

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Application for amendment oflicense or construction permit, Ameren Missouri (Union Electric Company) herewith requests an amendment to the Technical Specifications for Callaway Plant. The proposed amendment would modify Technical Specification (TS) requirements in Section 5.5.9, Steam Generator (SG) Program, and Section 6.6.10, Steam Generator Tube Inspection Report. These changes are consistent with NRC-approved Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Traveler TSTF-577, Revised Frequencies for Steam Generator Tube Inspections. These TSs are revised based on operating history.

Essential/supporting information is provided in the attachments to this letter. Attachment 1 provides a description and assessment ofthe proposed changes. Attachment 2 provides the existing TS pages marked up to show the proposed changes. Attachment 3 provides revised (retyped) TS pages, reflecting the proposed changes.

As described in Attachment 1 (and reflected in Attachments 2 and 3), the proposed amendment includes an additional, administrative/editorial change to TS 5.5.9 for removing an expired one-time provision attached to the TS which was incorporated per a previous license amendment but is no longer in effect. This clean-up change has no effect on the plants current licensing basis and no impact on the changes proposed in accordance with TSTF-577.

It has been determined that this amendment application does not involve a significant hazards consideration, as determined per 10 CFR 50.92, Issuance ofamendment. Pursuant to 10 CFR 51.22, Criterion categorical exclusion or otherwise not requiring environmental review, Section (b), no 83 15 County Road 459 : Steedman. MO 65077 AmerenMissouri.com
