3/4.3.9 PL ANT SYSTEMS ACTUATION INSTRUMENTATION LIMITING CONDITION FOR OPERATION 3.3.9 The plant systems actuation instrumentation channels shown in. Table 3.3.9-1 shall be OPERA 3LE with their trip setpoints set consistent with the values shown in the Trip Setpoint column of Tabis 3.3.9-2.
APPLICABILITY: As shown in Table 3.3.9-1.
ACTION:
- a. With a plant system actuation instrumentation chtnnel trip setpoint less conservative than the value shown in the AITowable Values column of Table 3.3.9.2, declare the channel inoperable and take the ACTION required by Table 3.3.9-1. .
- h. Withoneormoreplantsystemsactuationknstrumentationchannels inoperable, take the ACTION required by Table 3.3.9-1.

EMERGENCY CORE ~ COOLING SYSTEMS SURVEILLANCE' REQUIREMENTS 4.5.1 ECCS division'I, II and III shall be demonstrated OPERABLE by:
1.' VerifyingIby venting at the high point vents that the system piping'from the pump discharge valve to the system isolation i valve is filled with water.
- 2. Verifying that each valve (manual, power operated or automatic),.
in the flow path .that is-not locked, saaled, or otherwise secured in position, is in its correct position.
- b. Verifying 'that, when tested pursuant to Specification 4.0.5, each:
- 1. LPCS pump' develops a flow of'at least 5010 gpm with a pump differential pressure greater than or equal to 281 psid.
- 2. LPCI pump dt.velops a flow of at leas' 5050 gpm with a pump differential pressure greater than or equal to 100 psid.
- 3. HFCS pump develops a flow of at least 5010 gpm with a pump --
differential pressure greater than or equal to 399 psid. .
- c. At least' once per 18 months, for the LPCS*,* LPCI*1tnd HPCS sys tems, performing a' system functional test which includes simulated automatic actuation of the system throughout its emergency operating' sequence and verifying that each automatic valve in the flow path actuates to its correct position. Actual injec-
' tion of coolant into the reactor vessel may be excluded from this test. .
- d. At least once per 18 months, for the HPCS system, verifying that the suction is automatically transferred from the condensate storage tank to the suppression pool on a condensate storage tank low water j
level signal and on a suppression pool high water level signal, and verifying that the HPCS system will automatically restart on Reactor Vessel Water Level - Low Low Level 2.
- May be extended to the completion of the first refueling outage, scheduled to begin 9-15-87.

. Commi s sion.~ If two consecutive Type A tests fail to meet 0.75 La, a Type A test shall be performed at least every 18 months until two consecutive Type A tests meet 0.75 La, at which time the above test schedule may be resumed. -
- c. The accuracy of.each Type A test.shall be verified by a supplemental

- 1. Confirms the accuracy of the test by verifying that the" differ-ence between the supplemental l test data and the Type A gest data is within 0.25 La. The formula to be used is: [Lo + Lam
- 0.25 La] 5-Lc.3 [Lo + Las + 0.25 La] where Lc = supplemental test results; Lo = superimposed' leakage; Lam = measured Type A leakage.

- 5. Purge supply and exhaust 1sclation valves with resilient material seals.

- otherwise secured in position, is in its correct position, ,
- b. At least once per 92 days, by verifying that each of the required unit coolers develops a flow of at least 50,000 cfm on recirculation flow through the unit cooler.
- c.
