OF TASK GROUP MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 25, igliT A task group meeting was held on September 25,1997, in the Rockville Marylacd, office of the -

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), between representatives of the NRC staff and Westinghouse. The agenda for the meeting is provided in attachment 1 and a list of meeting -

- attendees is provided in attachment 2.

The purpose of the meeting was to perform the first interdisciplinary review of the inspections, tests, analyses, and acceptance criteria (ITAAC) for the AP600 design. This review covered the ITAAC that are the responsibility of the instrumentation and control systems branch (HICB). The l meeting began with a review of Westinghouse's responses to HlCB's requests for additional information (RAls) on AP600 lTAAC, as idend ed in attachment 1. Based upon the discussions, l Westinghouse agreed to review, revise as necessary, and resubmit its responses to RAls 640.60

through 640.63. Also, Westinghouse agreed to revise ITAAC 2.5.1 and 2.5.2. With regard to

  • Diverse Actuation System," Westinghouse committed to review Generic Letter 85-06 to determine if it contained any inspectable qualification items that could be added to the ITAAC. HICB committed to perform a further review of Tier 1 Figuro 2.5.21 and advise

- Westinghouse if any modifications were necessary. The staff stated that the revision 3 versions of ITAAC :'.5.3,2.5.4,2.5.5, and 2.3.1g were acceptable. The staff also advised Westinghouse that the resolution of RAI 640.98 may affect the ITAAC that use the words: displays, visual alerts, and alamis, original signed by:
