In Reference 1, Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC (HDI) submitted the required annual report in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(w)(3) to document the current levels and sources of onsite property damage insurance. HDI is providing this courtesy notification to the NRC to communicate that the required financial protection for the Oyster Creek site is being transitioned to a combination of insurance and Nuclear Decommissioning Trust (NDT) excess funds as shown in Reference 2. Initially, Midlantic Equity Insurance Company (MEIC) will cover the first

$20M of the $50M currently required.

The identified coverage provided by the insurance and the NDT excess funds provide the financial protection required in 10 CFR 50.54(w).

There are no regulatory commitments contained within this letter.
