RAY Vo TANNEY I Associate Engineer, Nuclear Design & Analysis Section, Nuclear Engineering Dept., Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company My name is Ray V. Tanney. My business address is Perry Nuclear Power Plant, 10 Center Road, Perry, Ohio, 44081. I am an Associate Engineer in the Nuclear Design & Analysis Section of the Nuclear Engineering Department. I have held this position since November, 1981. My responsibilities include the technical support for PNPP's licensing section & the development of PNPP's design program for implementing Regulatory Guide 1.97 Rev. 2. In addition, I have also been the responsible engineer for the design & procurement of Radiation Monitoring Systems.

I received my Bachelor of Nuclear Engineering degree from The Pennsylvania State University in 1973 In the period between November,1978 and November,1981, I was employed at Victoreen, Inc., as both Project Engineer & Jr. Project Manager. My primary responsibility was to coordinate or assist in the design & manufacture of Radiation Monitoring Systems for Nuclear Power Plants. In addition, I was involved in specific design projects to develop Radiation Monitoring Systems which would meet new or upcoming regulatory requirements.

In the period between July, 1973 and November of 1978, I was employed at the Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock Company as a Design Engineer in the Nuclear Design Department. My responsibilities included technical development & design of reactor plant coolant systems and system installation support for construction of SSN688 class submarines. In addition, I served as Mechanical Test Engineer on specific submarines during testing & start-up phases.
