The purpose of this letter is to update Applicants' February 5, 1982 answer to Interrogatory #3 of Sunflower Alliance, Inc., et al. First Set of Interrogatories to Applicants, dated December 2, 1981. The interrogatory asked Applicants to demonstrate that "' mutually supportive

[ emergency) planning and preparedness arrangements'"

have been made and to "[p]rovide full documentation to support the response to this interrogatory." In their answer, Applicants said that the county emergency response plans still were being developed.

May 19, 1983 Page Two All three counties have now subm ted drsft plansW to the Ohio Disaster Services Agency,- which in turn has forwarded the plans to FEMA Region V for an informal review under the authority of 44 C.F.R. Part 350. See Attachment 1. The draft plans are available in various public libraries in the respective counties. See Attachments 2, 3 and 4. ,

2/ The Lake County Commissioners passed a resolution submitting the Lake County Plan to the State on February 18, 1983. Ashtabula County passed a similar resolution on December 27, 1982. Geauga County moved to submit the Geauga County Plan to the State on December 20, 1982.

These plans have been developed over a period of eighteen months, and the Ohio Disaster Services Agency has worked closely with the consultants in deve-

! aping the plans. The Ohio DSA comments have been included in the current .

The RAC comments from the initial informal review should be forwarded to Ohio DSA ei ther collec tively for all counties or on an individual county basis.

In that resolution the Board provided that the plan would be available to the general putilic at the Wicklif fe, Willoughby, Mentor, Morley and Perry Libraries.

Subsequent to passage of the resolution the Eoard received recuests for the plan from other l i b ra ~r i e s i n t he county.JMioE(-at;'Thi s t ime a copy of the plan is available to the general public at all libraries in the County.
