This is to inform you that effective 30 September 1996 Professor Otto K. Harling will retire as the Director of the MIT Nuclear Reactor Laboratory. Dr. John A. Bernard has been named as the Interim Director pending an international search for a successor to Prof. Harling.
Dr. Bernard will also continue in his present capacity as the Director of Reactor Operations. Accordingly, the requirements of MITR Technical Specification #7.3.1 are fulfilled.
