WHEREAS, the oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant in the Townsbip of Lacey has not providedadequate d t y or madequate evacuatiOnplan inthe event of anem-, and WHEREAS, part of the evacuation p h is based upon the I990 census and Ocean county's population has incmsed by about 63,000 residents and is one of the fastest growing co@F-@New Jersey; and

__I WHEREAS, the fire last June at Double Trouble State Park tied up trdlic all day, making-it impossible for emergency vehicles to reach their destination. The trafEic congestion included the roads to and h m Oyster Creek. This was atest of the dangerous shortwmiq of the c ~ o plan; n and WHEREAS, the touristpopulation swells during the summer months, and WHEREAS, 9/11 was awake up calI that we am vulnerable and we need to take seribusly alf fixtors that may cause a catastrophtor worsen the outcome; and WHEREAS, the Oyster Creek Generating Station's Mark 1 *Reactor's radiation containment system is obsolete and has been @eaVirycriticized by f-er Nuclear Regulatory commissio~;8nd I .
