By Reference 1, Arizona Public Service Company (APS), as Project Manager and Operating Agent of the Palo Verde Nu-clear Generating Station (PVNGS), filed an application for <<> ~p J~

amendment to Construction Permits Nos. CPPR-141, CPPR-142 and CPPR-143 in the above-referenced docket numbers. Such T;: j'7 p:

Application sought the amendment of Construction Permits Nos. CPPR-142 and CPPR-143 to reflect the transfer by the Salt River Agricultural Improvement and Power District (SRP) to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power of a 5.7% I/>5 undivided ownership interest as a tenant in common with the other Participants in PVNGS, upon notice to the Commission 5, vA.IQP by APS that Palo Verde Unit 1 has been placed into comme-cial operation. Such Application also sought the amendment of Construction Permits Nos. CPPR-141, CPPR-142 and CPPR-143 to reileot the transfer by SRP to the Southern California >/yy Public Power Authority (SCPPA) of a 5.91/ undivided owner-ship interest as a tenant in common with the other Partici-pants in PVNGS.

I Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation July 31, 1981 Page 2 APS enclosed with Reference 1 the financial qualifications information required by 10 CFR 550.33(f) and 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix C, and the antitrust information required by 10 CFR 550.33a and 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix L. APS also stated that the general information required by 10 CFR 550.33 and the environmental information required by 10 CFR Part 51 would be submitted under separate cover for incorporation into the operating license application for PVNGS.

Accordingly, enclosed herewith in support and as part of the above-referenced Application for Amendment to Construction Permits Nos. CPPR-141, CPPR-142, and CPPR-143 are (1) twenty-five (25) copies of the general information required by 10 CFR $ 50.33 to be incorporated into the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2 and 3 (Docket Nos. STN 50-528/529/530), General Information, Operating License Applica-tion, and (2) forty-one (41) copies of the environmental in-formation required by 10 CFR Part. 51 and incorporated into Supplement 3 to the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2 and 3 (Docket Nos. STN 50-528/529/530) Environ-mental Report - Operating License Stage. Supplement 3 also incorporates the APS responses to Reference 2.

Also enclosed herewith are fifteen (15) copies of the finan-cial qualifications information required by 10 CFR 550.33 and 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix C for the operating license stage. Such information is provided in the document, en-titled Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2 and 3 (Docket Nos. STN 50-528/529/530), Response to Request for Financial Information Operating License Stage, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and Southern California Public Power Authority.
