6.16, During the Improved Technical Specification submittal development, an APS engineer discovered that the assumptions used in the calculation of peak containment pressure for a design basis loss of coolant accident (LOCA) did not use the maximum allowable primary containment internal pressure in Technical Specification 3/4.6.1.4, ~gzgl These revised Technical SpeciTications provide the new value for the peak calculated containment internal pressure for the design basis LOCA.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATTN: Document Control Desk Proposed TS Amendment to 3/4.6.1.'3, Bases 3/4.6.1.4, Bases 3/4.6.1.6, and 6.16 Page 2 Enclosure 2 provides the marked-up Technical Specification pages to support the proposed amendment.
The changes requested in this submittal have been incorporated into letter 102-03794-JML/AKK/SAB,"License Amendment Request for Conversion to the Improved Technical Specifications (ITS)," dated October 4, 1996. Therefore, it is requested that the review of this amendment request be coordinated with the Technical Specification conversion.
In accordance with Technical Specification Section 6.5, the Plant Review Board and Offsite Safety Review Committee have reviewed and concurred with this request.
By copy of this letter and its enclosures, the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency is being notified of this Technical Specification amendment request pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91(b)(1).
