The New York State Nnar ment o f Azriculture and 'darkets hereby requests that it be accorded all tne :: gnts and remedies of an interested State under Section L U} fc1 of the NRC Rules of Practice [10 CFR $2.715(c)]

Pursuant to S124.l(e) of the Public Service Law this Depart-ment has been designated a statutory party to all Article 'lII transmission line siting cases, and pursuant to S144.l(e) of the Public Service Law (1978 amendment) this Department has been designated a statutory party to all Article VIII pcwer plant siting cases filed after December 31, 1978.

Since this application was filed prior to December 31, 1973, this Department has been granted party status by the Presiding Examiner pursuant to S144.l(n) of the Public Service Law (non-amended)

This Department intends to actively participate in those areas 790815co%

which are of importance to the agricultural interests of this State. It is our intention to c d '~' ~'
