In accordance with 10CFR71.17(c)(3), General License: Nuclear Regulatory Commission-Approved Package, Southern California Edison (SCE) is providing notification of intent to use the following Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)-

approved package:

Issued to: Westinghouse Electric Company Package Identification: USA/9297/AF-96 Model Number: Traveller XL The following pertains:

  • SCE has a copy of the Certificate of Compliance issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for USA/9297/AF-96.

" SCE has the drawings and other documents referenced in the approval related to the use and maintenance of the package and the actions to be taken before shipment.

" SCE has a Quality Assurance (QA) program approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 71, subpart H (Quality Assurance). The approved QA program, Topical Report SCE-1, is applied to radioactive material packages. Further guidance has been established in the Topical Quality Assurance Manual (TQAM) which is based on the requirements of the Topical Report.

  • The licenses for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), Units 2 and 3, are NPF-10 and NPF-15, respectively.
