Dear Director,
To support supplement letter Reference 2, Westinghouse hereby submits a supplement to amendment application for license USA/9297/AF-96 Model No. Traveller STD, XL, and VVER Packages
[Reference 1]. This supplement includes a consolidated Revision 16 of the Safety Analysis Report (SAR) with only Section 2.12.10 revised to include testing data and validation for the finite element analysis provided for the amended contents of a newly designed 8-inch Rod Pipe configuration. Details are specifically added to Section 2.12.10.2 8-inch Rod Pipe Drop Testing. For the amendment application, the entirety of the SAR had been updated to revision 16, thus revision bars are used to mark changes made to Section 2.12.10 and documented in Record of Revisions as a July 2024 dated revision. The revised, consolidated SAR Rev 16 is provided as proprietary Enclosure 3 and non-proprietary Enclosure 2.
Enclosures of this letter include non-proprietary, redacted and proprietary versions of the SAR Rev 16. In conformance with the requirements of 10 CFR Section 2.390, as amended, of the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions regulations, we are enclosing with this submittal an Application for Withholding Proprietary Information from Public Disclosure and an Affidavit, AW-24-023 (Enclosure 1). As this is a supplement to the original amendment application in Reference 1, the same affidavit remains applicable.
Request All requests of the amendment application [Reference 1] are retained for this supplement. One copy of the amendment application is submitted electronically via NRC Electronic Information Exchange (EIE) system and emailed to the Project Manager, Pierre Saverot.
