MONTICELLO NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANTINFORMATION REQUEST FOR NRC MAINTENANCE EFFECTIVENESS BASELINE INSPECTION

Dear Mr. Conway:

On May 14, 2007, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will begin the requiredtriennial inspection of maintenance effectiveness at your Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.

This inspection will be performed in accordance with the NRC baseline inspection procedure (IP) 71111.12.In order to minimize the impact that the inspection has on the site and to ensure a productiveinspection for both sides, we have enclosed a request for documents needed for the inspection.

The document request lists the information necessary in order to ensure the inspector is adequately prepared for the inspection. This information should be available to the Regional Office no later than May 2, 2007. In so far as possible, this information should be provided electronically to the lead inspector. The lead inspector for this inspection is Mr. Robert Winter. If there are any questions about thematerial requested, or the inspection, please call the lead inspector at (630) 829-9758 or e-mail him at RAW2@nrc.gov
