DOCKET NO: 50-368 By letter dated January 28, 2013, Entergy Operations Inc. submitted a licenseamendment request for Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 2. The request is for anamendment to the ANO-2 TSs to incorporate the NRC-approved TSTF-500, Revision2, "DC Electrical Rewrite - Update to TSTF-360."

The purpose of this letter is to provide the results of the U.S. Nuclear RegulatoryCommission (NRC) staff=s acceptance review of this amendment request. Theacceptance review was performed to determine if there is sufficient technicalinformation in scope and depth to allow the NRC staff to complete its detailedtechnical review. The acceptance review is also intended to identify whether theapplication has any readily apparent information insufficiencies in its characterizationof the regulatory requirements or the licensing basis of the plant.

Consistent with Section 50.90 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10CFR), an amendment to the license (including the technical specifications) must fullydescribe the changes requested, and following as far as applicable, the formprescribed for original applications. Section 50.34 of 10 CFR addresses the contentof technical information required. This section stipulates that the submittal addressthe design and operating characteristics, unusual or novel design features, andprincipal safety considerations.

The NRC staff has reviewed your application and concluded that it does providetechnical information in sufficient detail to enable the staff to proceed with its detailedtechnical review and make an independent assessment regarding the acceptability ofthe proposed amendment in terms of regulatory requirements and the protection ofpublic health and safety and the environment. If additional information is needed forthe staff to complete its technical review, you will be advised by separatecorrespondence.
