By letter dated July 7, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21196A070), X Energy LLC (X-energy) submitted Topical Report XE00-R-R1ZZ-RDZZ-L-001522 Rev. 1, Risk-informed Performance-Based Licensing Basis Development (ADAMS Accession No. ML21196A071), for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review. Based on its review, the NRC staff developed the attached set of preliminary questions to improve the NRC staffs understanding of the information included in the report.

The NRC staff requests that X-energy propose times to discuss the preliminary questions in a public meeting, which may be closed, as appropriate, to discuss proprietary information.

NRC staff availability to meet is the following:

11/10 8:00am-10am 11/15 11am-12pm 11/17 all day availability 11/18 9:30am-12pm or 1pm-3:30pm In some instances, preliminary questions may support formal requests for additional information (RAIs). X-energy will be advised of the need for RAIs by separate correspondence.
