- ?OPULATION ITEMS LIST Page 1 of 1 POPULATION NAME: Fuel Pool Liner DATE: September 27, 1985 RESPONSI3LE QA/QC YUPPORT ENGINEER POPULATIONS LIST SOURCE:

The following Engineering Drawings were used to develop the population items to perform the reinspection of the Fuel Pool Liners:

2323-S-0831, Sheet 1 - Fuel pool liner details 2323-5-0832, Sheet 2 - Fuel pool liner details 2323-S-0833, Sheet 3 - Fuel pool liner details 2323-S-0834, Sheet 4 - Fuel pool liner details BASIS FOR ACCEPTING THE LIST:

Fuel pool liner population consist of welds for the stainless steel plates,

  • embeds and angles. The veld sears on the waterside of the fuel pool are accessible. A list of all welds was prepared from the traveler packages of welds. The list was then compared with the contractors drawings. In a few instances it was noted that the welds shown on the drawings were not on the

! traveler list and vice versa. Weld numbers 37 & 39 were shown on the

!' drawings as drain welds and the travelers for these two welds were not found. Welds shown in the traveler packages with a prefix "A" or suffix "A" were not found on the drawing. However, a count of the welds on the drawing shows a total of 2371 welds, where as a count of the welds in traveler packages indicate 2610 welds.

The later figure is accepted as more accurate, because a traveler package i

was made for each weld as the work progressed. The last update of the drawings een done in April 1983. The two welds 37 & 39, for which the traveler packages were not found, are for the drains and they are used for .

test connections. These welds are not accessible and will not affect the samples. A random sample of accessible welds conforming to the population description will be selected from the weld traveler package identifications.
