Asindicated intheattachedreport,thedecisionhas'beenmadetoredesignthestructures and,toreplacealleightunits,including thosefoundnottocontaindefects.Thereplacement unitsemploymaterialchangesandweld)ointconfigurations vhichvillfacilitate fabrication andshouldprecludetherecurrence ofthelamellartearingphenomenon experienced inoriginalunits.Xnadditiontothosecorrective measuresidentified inPLA-74andtheattachedBechteldetailed.
