Enclosed is a ccpy of the final exercise report for the May 24, 1989, partial participation joint exercise of the offsite tucie Nuclear~Plant.St.Zucie and Martin Counties, both located in the 10-mile plume emergency planning zone, participated in the exercise.Irdian River County participated as the host county and the State of Florida partially participated in the exercise.There were no deficiencies identified during this exercise.'Ihere were, however, 11 areas nxp~ing corrective action and several areas Region IV staff of the F~<Q.Emergency Management Agency.Based on the results of this exercise, the offsite radiological assurance that apprcpriate measures can be taken offsite to protect the health and safety of the public in the event of a radiological emergency at the site.'Iherefore, the 44 CFR 350 approval granted on February 15'984 I wil 1 ranain in ef feet.FERA Region IV staff will furnish a copy of this final exercise report to the State of Florida.'Ihey will assure completion by the State of the necessary corrective actions.If you should have any questions, please contact Mr.Craig S.Wingo, Chief, Technological Hazards Division, at 646-3026.Sincerely, H.Ewi Assistant Associate Director Office of Natural and Technological Hazards Programs 90033OO$94 9()O~)4 PDR ADOCK 0 OOO 35 PDC}}
