Ms. Becker, The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is preparing to issue a license amendment for Turkey Point Nuclear Generating Unit No. 3. In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.91(b), I am notifying you of the proposed issuance of this amendment.

Please reply if the State of Florida has comments on the following licensing action submitted to the NRC by Florida Power & Light Company (the licensee): "License Amendment Reques t 256, One-Time Ex tension of 3A Containment Spray (CS) Pump Completion Time," dated December 18, 2017 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System 2(ADAMS) Accession No. ML17353A492), as supplemented by letter dated February 16, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No.

ML18050A001).

The associated proposed no significant hazards consideration for this amendment request was published in the Federal Register on January 30, 2018 (83 FR 4285).
