Re: FYI: Partial Sea Turtle Carcass at Turkey Point Thank you, Michael. I don't recognize that file extension, and my PC doesn't recognize it either. Would it be possible to send this photo as a jpg so I can open it?

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks, Audra On Wed, Sep 22, 2021 at 2:01 PM Lloret, Michael <Michael.Lloret@fpl.com> wrote:

Re: FYI: Partial Sea Turtle Carcass at Turkey Point Thank you, Briana, for notifying us. The attached message mentioned a photo, but I don't think the photo came through. Would you mind sending Jen and I a photo of the animal? From reading Michael's email (which noted the bottom half of the animal's shell/body was missing), it sounds like maybe the animal was attacked by a shark. I don't think we require any more info other than a photo of the animal and species identification (if that's possible).

Thanks for letting us know.

Kind regards,

Hello Audra, Today FPL notified the NRC that plant personnel found a partial sea turtle carcass washed up on the bank northeast of Turkey Point Nuclear Generating Station in Homestead, FL. This plant uses a closed-cycle cooling canal system, so this event is not in connection with the plants water intake or discharge. Please let me know if you have any questions or believe we need to take any action beyond this courtesy notification.
