==Dear Mr. Repko:==

By letter dated April 26, 2010 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML101250044), you applied for amendments to the McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, Renewed Facility Operating Licenses NPF-9 and NPF-17. The proposed change would have modified the facility technical specifications by modifying the 24-hour emergency diesel generator (EDG) endurance test whereby the two hours at 105-110 percent of continuous duty rating test (two-hour margin test) would no longer be required to be performed on a routine (18-month) basis as long as the maximum EDG loading remains at or below the machine's continuous duty rating of 4000 kilowatt. This modification would have differed from the approach outlined in Regulatory Guide 1.9, Revision 3, Regulatory Position 2.2.9.
Subsequently, by letter dated September 15,2010 (ADAMS Accession No. ML102710267), you withdrew the amendment requests.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above-cited application is being treated as withdrawn. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendments had not been published in the Federal Register.

SUBJECT:

MCGUIRE NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 - WITHDRAWAL OF AMENDMENT REQUESTS REGARDING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 3.8.1 "AC SOURCES - OPERATING" (TAC NOS. ME3985 AND ME3986)

Dear Mr.
