TELECONFERENCE REGARDING SHORTNOSE STURGEON AND ATLANTIC STURGEON AT INDIAN POINT APRIL 18, 2011

SUMMARY

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff received a call from Entergy indicating that it wished to engage in a public meeting with the NRC and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) in order to provide additional data on shortnose and Atlantic sturgeons at Indian Point.

During the April 18, 2011, teleconference public meeting, Entergy provided a brief life history of the sturgeon species and presented the results of a data synthesis from the most recent annual monitoring reports since Entergy's submission of the Indian Point license renewal application.

NRC, NMFS, and Entergy discussed submitting the data synthesis for the NRC docket. NMFS requested that the data synthesis includes a description of methodology. Entergy proposed submitting the information by the end of the month of April.
