| | 1 In connection with our review, we need an analysis denenstrating the proposed shield remains effective under norral and accident conditions of transport (10 CFR 5571.47 and 71.51(a)(2)). Your letter of August 13 was not responsive to our letter of July 12, 1985. The various drop orientations were not taken into account for nornal and accident conditions of transport. The supplemental shielding is directional in its effectiveness, this is an unacceptable practice. The shoring used to support the supplemental shielding has not been shown to damage the inner cavity walls under normal conditions of transport. |
