As requested, enclosed you will find eight copies of Revision 2 (Consolidated) to the Safety Analysis Report of ANEFCO's AP-101 cask.
Revision 2 incorporates the data submitted in support of the amendments made so that ANEFCO's cask AP-101 can be used to transport Remote Handled Tr'ansuranic Waste (RH-TRU) within Certificate of Compliance #9071.
These license amendments were submitted to you on January 7, 1986.
The amendments require that PJI-TRU waste will be enclosed in a vented canister which will be the primary containment for the RH-TRU waste, and demonstrate that this canister will withstand projected loads that could be imposed upon it.
The amendments further demonstrate that the AP-101 containment is adequate so that any releases dyring the transport of RH-TRU waste in the AP-101 cask are within the limits of 10 CFR 71.
Please note that all revisions in this issue are identified with a vertical line and the number 2 and the revised pages are identified with the revision date of April 1, 1986.
