This refers to your application dated June 13,19P.5, as supplenented on August 13, 1985 and January 8,1986, requesting an anendnent to include add 1*.1onal contents in the !1odel flo. AP-101 cask.

The application is not responsive to our letters of July 12 and Septenber 30, 1985 and has not been accepted for review. Specifically, no structural and containnent information was provided to support your assured leak rate under accident conditions of transport.

In addition, specific leak testing procedures are not specified to denonstrate adequate containnent of the cask during nornal conditions of transport.

If you have any questions regarding this natter, we would be pleased to neet with you and your staff.

If you decide to pursue the anendrvnt, a new application should be submitted which takes into account the requirenents of Part 71.
