This refers to your application dated June 13, 1985, requesting approval of a supplementary shield for the f4odel No. AP-101 cask.

In connection with our review, we need an analysis demonstrating the proposed shield remains effective under normal and accident conditions of transport (10 CFR 5571.47 and 71.51(a)(2)). Also, provide an engineering drawing (s) of the shield assenbly and shoring.

The additional information requested by this letter should be submitted in the form of a new application within 60 days from the date of this letter.
