As requested by AMEFCO, Inc. application dated July 11,1986, as supplemented July 18,1986, and pursuant to 10 CFR Part 71 Certificate of Compliance flo. 9071 for the Model No. AP-101 package is amended to authorize the support structure shown in ANEFCO Inc. Drawing No. AP-101-0-86142-2, Rev. O.

Except for c1cse fitting contents, shoring must be placed between secondary containers and the cask cavity to prevent movement during accident conditions of transport. All other conditions of Certificate of Compliance Ho. 9071 shall remain the same.

This authorization shall expire Ibvember 30, 1986.

%. AP-101 Package Docket Ho. 71-9071 Ry application dated July 11, 1986, as supplenented July.18, 1986, AMEFCO Inc. requested temporary nodification to the Model No. AP-101 package design. ANEFCO Inc. proposes to tack weld a support structure to the inside wall of the containment vessel. Once the shipments are completed, grinding would be utilized to remove the welds and support structure.

We are in agreenent with the applicant that the temporary nodification will have no significant effect on the ability of the package design to meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.

In addition, we have required, "Except for close fitting contents, shoring must be placed between secondary containers and the cask cavity to prevent movenent during accident conditions of transport."
