From: Guzman, Richard Sent: Saturday, April 25, 2015 8:34 PM To: wanda.d.craft@dom.com Subject: Acceptance Review Determination - Millstone Power Station Units 2 And 3 - Supplement To License Amendment Request To Adopt TSTF-523, Revision 2, Generic Letter 2008-01, Managing Gas Accumulation. Wanda, By letter dated January 15, 2015 (ADAMS Accession No. ML15021A128), Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, Inc. (DNC) submitted a license amendment request (LAR) for Millstone Power Station Units 2 and 3. The proposed amendment would modify Technical Specification (TS) requirements to address Generic Letter 2008-01, "Managing Gas Accumulation in Emergency Core Cooling, Decay Heat Removal, and Containment Spray Systems," as described in Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF)-523, Revision 2, "Generic Letter 2008-01, Managing Gas Accumulation."

During a telephone conference on March 26, 2015, the NRC staff provided DNC an opportunity to supplement its LAR to address informational needs identified in the acceptance review related to the basis for exceptions from TSTF-523. By letter dated April 15, 2015 (ADAMS Accession No. ML15111A449), DNC provided a supplement to its LAR. The NRC staff has found the supplement responsive to the staff's information needs, and concludes that the application and supplement provide information in sufficient detail to enable the staff to proceed with its detailed technical review. If additional information is needed for the NRC staff to complete its technical review, you will be advised by separate correspondence.
