SUBJECT:

Evaluation of Offsite Radiological Emergency Preparedness for the Ginna Nuclear Power Station Exercise Attached is a copy of the Post Exercise Assessment prepared by Region II of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for tne Ginna Nuclear Power Station joint exercise held on January 21, 1982. This Post Exercise Assessment, dated February 12, 1982, reports on the exercise conducted by New York State, Wayne and Monroe Counties.

FEMA Region II furnished copies of the exercise report to New York State on March 2, 1982. However, the report did not contain any differentiation between major and minor deficiencies. FEMA Region II is in the process of negotiations with the State of New York on remedies for the deficiencies, including a schedule for corrective actions.
